Fylde Coast Muzzle Loaders Society - Club News

CANCELLATIONS AND RE-BOOKINGS....

The Altcar shoots that were booked for 22nd November and 6th December have been cancelled and re-booked on the 29th November and 13th December.
The Weeton shoots have now been confirmed - we have cancelled 28th November and 12th December and re-booked them on 22nd November and 5th December.

The amended calendar is available for download. Next year's dates have still to be arranged.

CHRISTMAS MEAL AND MEETING....

As usual, we will be holding the December meeting at 7pm, followed by a meal at 8pm. The venue is the Blue Anchor Hotel, Greenhalgh, and the date will be the 3rd December. Any non-member's meals will need to be paid for (see the Treasurer), and non-members will not be allowed into the meeting.

NRA MEMBERSHIP....

Could any members who are members of the NRA in their own right please let the Secretary know who you are and what your NRA membership number is, as we do not have to pay the yearly NRA capitation charge for you which saves the Club some money.

WE RECOMMEND PLUSNET BROADBAND....

If you are interested in getting Broadband, or switching suppliers, follow this link - Up to 8Mb PlusNet broadband from only £5.99 a month! - which could earn some money towards our website costs for each person who signs up.

USE OF SOUND SUPPRESSORS, MODERATORS AND SILENCERS....

We have been informed that sound moderators are no longer allowed to be used on the Altcar range complex.

ALTCAR - PLEASE NOTE....

Do not let your pass expire, get it renewed just BEFORE it runs out. You will need two photographs, with your name and the name of the club written on the back.

Please also arrive in plenty of time, so that we can work out how many targets we will need and how long people will have to stay in the butts - it's not fair if we start off with only a few, and the first butt party are there for 45 minutes or so, then more people arrive and the other butt details are much shorter. It has been suggested that we should pick on people who arrive late and send them straight to the butts - YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!! So get there by noon or shortly after if you can. If you arrive later than 12:30 without having forewarned us, we cannot guarantee you a shoot.

If you are going to attend at all, a prior phone call to either Alan W, or John C would be appreciated - on days when the weather isn't good, the shoot may be cancelled and it would save a wasted journey if we knew who intended going and could pass the news around.
